The ordering system is web-based and will operate in any modern browser. From desktop PC or Mac to laptops, Chromebooks, tablets (iOS and Android) and Smart Phones ... OnTheGoOrdering will give your customers a simple, effective and easy-to-use interface to order your terrific food. 

The order taking app is designed for iOS and Android devices and will operate on any iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet. 

For most applications we recommend an Android tablet. While we don't recommend the least expensive tablets on the market due to reliability and longevity issues (your business depends on your ability to receive every order so don't go cheap here), there are plenty of high quality, reliable and very affordable tablets from companies like Samsung and others. 

The app will work well on an iPad but may require that the iPad is dedicated to order receiving. Smart phones will also work (iOS and Android) and while they may be well-suited for small operations, having a dedicated tablet near the phone and/or POS system is likely to be your best bet.

You'll also want a tablet stand to keep the tablet in reach at all times. A good security stand with a locking cable may be a good choice for higher-risk locations.

You may also wish to have your order automatically printed for in-house or delivery use. We recommend a good bluetooth printer for flexibility and there is a good list of compatible printers available. 

Back Office:

The back office is cloud-based so it can be accessed with any modern browser. Due to the extensive feature set, we highly recommend a large tablet at the very least but we think you'll be most productive on a laptop or desktop computer. 

Hardware Cost Estimate: You should be able to pick up a solid Android tablet for under $200, a security stand for around $50. The order taking app is free and if you want a printer that shouldn't cost you more $300 for a bluetooth model. Your total hardware cost should range from about $250 to $550 per location.
